Block Contest for the 2020 Quilt Show - 2020 Visions of Joy
What personally brings you joy? Let your creativity loose and show us in your block design!
Use quilting fabrics of your choice (novelty prints okay) as long as they are pre-washed 100% cotton. If you use white in the background, use true white or white-on-white, not cream or ivory.
Size: 12½˝ x 12½˝
To finish as a 12˝ x 12˝ block
Do not set blocks on point.
Block may be pieced and/or appliquéd but appliqué must be trimmed on back.
Please, no fusing or gluing of fabrics – too difficult to hand quilt.
Limit of two block entries per quilter.
Quilt Blocks due at the Old Aurora Colony Museum by Friday, October 18, 2019, 4 p.m.
The 20 winning quilt blocks will be assembled into the raffle quilt for the 2020 Quilt Show, 2020 Visions of Joy. The remaining blocks will also be assembled into additional quilts and wall hangings to be used for fundraising purposes.
Thank you to the Aurora Colony Quilters for holding this contest and creating the beautiful resulting quilts. We appreciate your generous donation to our programs!
