“Remembering Emma” celebrates the true life adventures of Old Aurora Colony pioneer Emma Wagner Giesy, heroine of the “Change and Cherish” historical novel series by acclaimed writer Jane Kirkpatrick. Join us for this exciting day of book signing* and book talk by Jane Kirkpatrick, a new history walk through Old Aurora ending at Emma’s grave site, capped off with a reception for Jane and event guests at the historic Frederick Keil House. Hosted by the Aurora Colony Historical Society. Seating is limited so call the Museum office at 503-678-5754 and make your reservations today. All proceeds benefit the Old Aurora Colony Museum.
10:30 AM - Noon: Join Jane for a book signing at the Old Aurora Colony Museum.
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Presentation by Jane Kirkpatrick at the Aurora Presbyterian Church, “Walking in Emma’s Aurora”, a new walking tour of Aurora that will feature Emma Wagner Giesy’s sites with narration notes by “Emma”, and a visit to the Aurora Cemetery.
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and visiting with Jane at the Frederick Keil House.
