Emma Wagner Giesy, an Aurora Colony member, died on May 17, 1916. Jane Kirkpatrick’s Change and Cherish Historical Series was written about the extraordinary life of Emma who’s memory will be honored at this event.
10:30 AM - Noon: Join Jane for a book signing at the Old Aurora Colony Museum. Her latest book Where Lilacs Still Bloom will be available for purchase and signing along with the Aurora books and her other titles.*
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Presentation by Jane Kirkpatrick at the Aurora Presbyterian Church
2:30 PM - 3:15 PM: Visit the Aurora Cemetery, and Emma’s gravesite as well as other colony member’s. Presentation by our Curator, Patrick Harris.
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, entertainment, and visiting with Jane at the Frederick Keil House.
*AM book signing open without reservations with regular museum admission.
