Aurora Colony Day / Living History Day

Free Admission & Living History Day at the Museum Saturday, August 10, 2019, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As part of the city-wide Aurora Colony Days, the Old Aurora Colony Museum opens its doors with free admission and special activities all day Saturday. Learn some pioneer skills in the courtyard and enjoy all five museum buildings for free. The museum is also the starting point for a 5K run and will have a float in the Aurora Community Parade (a 60+ years tradition). Make a day of it by checking out Aurora’s downtown sidewalk sale, a market and car show at the Aurora Park, and a big evening celebration.

Kicking off Aurora Colony Days the night before, the museum will host a beer garden in the museum courtyard. Brats and brew, German style—like the Colony!
