Spend a lovely and unique day with Jane Kirkpatrick, author of the beloved “Emma of Aurora” books about Colony pioneer Emma Wagner Giesy. Highlights of the day will be a book signing in the house Emma lived in, a lecture by Jane Kirkpatrick, and a riverside reception near Charbonneau, on the property where Emma’s Wagner relatives lived.

SCHEDULE (Approximate):

10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Check-in at museum; Book signing with Jane Kirkpatrick in the George Kraus House
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Time on your own for lunch in Aurora
12:30 p.m. Presentation by Jane Kirkpatrick at Aurora Presbyterian Church
1:30 - 2:00 p.m. Travel to Charbonneau. (Transportation details & address provided following ticket purchase)
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Reception at the Wagner home site with talk by a Wagner descendant
3:00 p.m. Leave reception; optional visit to Emma’s grave at the Aurora Cemetery (follow in your own car)

NOTE: Wear sensible shoes as the reception will be on grass.
