Aurora Colony Band
The Aurora Colony Band was especially talented and often won first prize in brass band competitions. Their music was so popular that they were invited to play at fairs, political rallies, and special ceremonies all over the region. Many of the musical compositions were written using crow quill pens and blackberry juice ink.
Several colonists composed music and used materials at hand: blackberry juice ink and a crow’s quill pen.
