The Happy Star Mat is a popular project for visitors to the Speckled Hen Quilt Shop. You may choose from 3 themes: Halloween, Chickens or Winter (Winter pic available soon). You will select your project design when you register for the class. This class is offered twice; students attend one session only.

Please bring the following:
Sewing machine
Rotary cutter
Small Cutting Mat
Thread scissors
Pins
Seam ripper
Thread in neutral color ie: cream, ecru or white
Point turner
Small iron and ironing mat (optional, we can share)

About the Presenter
Karen Stephens, Speckled Hen Quilts

Karen's lifelong love of sewing began in Milwaukie, Oregon, where she learned alongside her mother. Inspired to quilt by a family friend, she later built several businesses in Aurora before choosing quilting as her true passion. Today, through Speckled Hen Quilts, she celebrates vintage fabrics, timeless design, and creative community.
Class Location & Check-in
All classes will be held at the Will Family Center located at 21555 Main St NE, Aurora, OR 97002. (Behind Well Rooted Salon & Boutique). If you are pre-registered, there is no need to check in at the Museum.
Directions from the Museum: Exit the Museum and turn left on 2nd Street. Cross Highway 99 at the crosswalk and turn left on Main Street. Follow sidewalk along the left side of Well Rooted to the entrance of the Will Family Center. About a 3-minute walk (2½ blocks) from the Museum.
Parking: Please park along 2nd St. NE, north of the Will Family Center, and leave Main Street parking available for customers of nearby businesses.
Refund Policy
Tickets are nonrefundable. If a class is canceled by the Museum due to low enrollment, presenter cancellation, weather, or other circumstances, ticket holders will receive a full refund.
