Patrick Harris, who led the Old Aurora Colony Museum and Aurora Colony Historical Society for most of the past 37 years, died on April 18, 2020 after an unexpected illness. The culmination of Patrick’s career with ACHS was completion of the Will Family Preservation & Research Center. Patrick lived to see the building completed, but much work lies ahead—the careful move of several thousand Colony artifacts into their safe, clean new home, and the ongoing needs for everyday operation.

In establishing the Patrick John Harris Memorial Endowment, the Board of Directors restricted its use to support for ongoing operations of the new Will Family Preservation & Research Center. It’s a fitting tribute to this much-loved and admired Aurora historian, whose hard work helped take the center from dream to reality. Please donate generously. You may choose between a one-time contribution and a monthly ongoing donation.
