Field Trip Programs: Stauffer-Will Farm & Village Programs
An Interactive, Hands-on Experience

An immersive experience with hands-on activities is available Monday through Friday at the Stauffer-Will Farmstead or Old Aurora Colony Museum complex. Five hands-on projects are designed to cater to the age level of the students and are interactive, with students taking home hand-crafted items. This tour is $12.50 per person, including chaperones. School staff and group leaders are complimentary.

Regular Museum Visits

Self-guided tours are available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to see the current exhibit as well as permanent artifacts.  Step back in time as you explore the five building museum complex, including; the Ox Barn, Steinbach Cabin, Tie Shed, Will Family Summer Kitchen and Kraus House. To learn more about the stories and traditions of the Colony, you can also schedule a guided tour during regular museum hours, as available. Contact us to arrange a guided tour. Please allow at least 2 weeks notice for guided tours.  


Guided School & Group Tours

The five-building museum complex provides an excellent setting for learning about life in Oregon during the second half of the 19th century and how the Aurora Colonists found prosperity through communal living. School field trips are generally available Tuesday through Friday and can be interactive, with some hands-on activities designed for the age level of the students. Please contact us to schedule a tour. Cost is $7 per person, including chaperones. School staff and group leaders are complimentary.
